This human-ape-creature codenamed "Hugh Manoid" was cruelly thrown into an acting experiment at a very young age. He clumsly performed his way through many a plays for applause and peanuts. Addicted to the applause and peanuts, he committed himself to an educational instution where he learned to control the ways of performing, directing, designing, producing, and constructing...for peanuts! After rehabilitating himself at the educational institution, Hugh roamed the planet aimlessly. Life had been scripted until now. Lost and confused he gave in to instinct hoping he would find his true self. Hugh's nose knew and so it led the way.

Following the scent of bananas, Hugh landed in the Austinite jungle in 2007. Being the lone human-ape-creature he was with no pack and no playground, he swung from tree to tree for over a year looking for a spot to play. Then, like a spotlight shining through the jungle's canopy, Hugh had made a discovery.

He'd found a troupe of lovely beings--Kings N Things--whose "play time" reminded him of home. He quickly began working with the troupe as a sound board operator. During his first show--KNT's 7th Birthday show--an itch began to grow, but he knew it wasn't fleas because he'd pick them everyday. The itch was an itch to perform! At the ALLiday show in 2009, he relieved his epidermic disturbance by performing as a guest with KNT member Eli Swither. It was then that he knew he had found his playground and himself. Hugh, a human-ape-creature with many masks, joined KNT in January 2010 and became a full member in June 2011.

As a KNT member, Hugh has portrayed various personae ranging from simple mimes, to fabulously trangressive or traditional drag characters, and claymation movie characters. Like a chameleon, Hugh hopes to incorporate his technical abilities, love of music and all things "weird" to create new characters and fabulous performances that will mystify, question, and defy all things "norm."
