Shelby Mine began guest performing with KNT in 2004. She loved the excitement and energy of the troupe and enjoyed performing supporting roles, but she was thirsty for more…but more of what?

The answer came while attending the Sex Workers’ Art Show in 2007. Shelby was obviously sitting in the very front row of the theatre, and was pulled on stage for an impromptu striptease instruction by the dazzling burlesque performer Jo “Boobs” Weldon. In about 60 seconds, Shelby was topless and twirling tassels. Oh, the spotlight, the applause, the nudity… She knew she was ready to move from supporting roles to leading lady.

Months later (it takes a while to work up the nerve) Shelby debuted her very first solo, a bawdy pirate striptease. The audience was impressed by her large (pirate) chest and willingness to share her booty. Shelby enjoyed herself immensely and started dreaming up new burlesque pieces immediately after.

Shelby Mine joined KNT as an official member in 2008 and looks forward to performing in many more exciting numbers, as supporting role or spotlight whore, nearly naked or fully clothed. She enjoys keying Hummers, watching horror movies, and “rehearsing” with Eaton Johnson.
